Verge - Virtual Art Song Series

Through its collaboration with Canadian contemporary performance group, Women On The Verge, Green Room Sound Collective composers and performers collaborated on the creation of new art songs. The first public performance of these pieces took place through a masterclass administered by acting members of the Women On The Verge. During this workshop, soprano Elizabeth McDonald and pianist Kathryn Tremills discussed the dramatic interpretation of the pieces with the performers while engaging the composers in a discussion regarding their creative choices from a practical standpoint.

A final, formal showcase concert presented as a partnership between Women On The Verge and Green Room Sound Collective was postponed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Green Room is committed to showcasing its artists virtually in the meantime as part of the group's 2020-2021 virtual season.
